I studied physics at the University of Leipzig and obtained my diploma degree in 2010 (Theoretical Physics/Molecular Dynamics/Computer Simulations). From 2010 until 2015, I worked at the Central Institute for Mental Health in Mannheim (Durstewitz Lab) and completed my PhD in computational neuroscience at the BCCN Heidelberg-Mannheim in February 2014. My research topics included ’high-throughput’ fitting of electrophysiological data, mathematical description of single neuron and recurrent network activity as well as computational psychiatry.
I joined the TU Berlin (Sprekeler Lab - MKP) in August 2015. My current research focus on the functional and computational role of various types of interneurons in a neural network.
